It's really all one big hazy night... hope I can do the trucker justice in my spattle...Whaz up my friends.  I took some time out to visit Largo for the high-larious comedy experience that is "The Naked Trucker Show."

I had no idea that I was about to see some of the funniest and most kick-ass sh*t.  I had no clue. As soon as the Naked Trucker walked out on stage I knew I was in for one helluva psychobilly freakout.  This is one show that will blow your mind.

 
We've got a great big convoy!The Naked Trucker is a hidden gem in the hills of Hollywood...   a slightly cultish crowd gathers pretty much every month at Largo to catch the Naked Trucker in action... It's a crowd full of Mr. Show geekz and Tenacious D-eviants... D-isciples.. whatever... that hump the bar waiting to hear the first note plucked from the Naked Trucker's guitar...

My crowd was pretty much that... tons of geeks... side by side with the LA hipsters... other comedians looking for a laugh...  a few of the go-to peeps... and a few of the vampires you call celebrities.... oh yeah plus me and B. Alan... wherever we fit in.

But just what is "The Naked Trucker" experience?

 
T-bone and the Trucker rock the mic!"The Naked Trucker Show" is a finely tuned/timed musical comedy act, along the lines of Tenacious D... but with much better interaction between the participants.  Sorry JB and KG... but these guys got it down...

"The Naked Trucker Show" is a cabaret show about buddies...  two buddies that met on the open highway... when T-bone hopped up in the cab of a trucker who likes to drive around naked... and now they sing... naked... well the trucker is...

 
That's a big 10-4, lil buddy!The "Naked Trucker" character is played by Dave "Gruber" Allen.  The Trucker struts onto stage with only a guitar to cover up his "Big 10-4"... and then he rocks.

Seeing his naked ass up on stage you really feel like he could be pulling his rig into Fresno for a quick bite... a quick tale of the road... a quick drink... then back out into the caffeine-overloaded night...

 
Can I kick it?Dave Koechner is the Trucker's lil' buddy T-bone... basically the same character as in New Line Cinema's secret bastard son of a Mr. Show movie called "Run Ronnie Run"... (never released... yet somehow available on Ebay).

Dave is a Saturday Night Live survivor... a really awesome and friendly guy... and a kick-ass improv'r... catch him at Improv Olympics West for "Beer Shark Mice" every week.

 
B. Alan with T-bone!When we saw the Trucker last... T-bone was slugging down a bottle of whiskey... yelling out "Can I kick it?"... with the Trucker responding "Yes you can!"... then rocking the miz'ic... anyway.. we thought it was just a prop till we saw T-bone returning the bottle at the end of the gig *3/4 gone!  Rock on T-bone!

Hook up with the Trucker at his next gig!Watch out cuz "The Naked Trucker Show" is on its way to rock your ass... Saturday, June 7th at Largo here in LA or at the Troubador, Sunday June 15th.

Buy your tickets early... Largo is a dinner theatre with reserved seats... but you can always show up and wait in line to hump the bar with everybody else...
