May DAy... maY DaY... mayDAy
Hello my friends. It's another month, this one they call May... enjoy it while its here, all the others seem to speed past.
Whats new? Well, its industry party month... so Im drinkin on some company dimes... drop me a line if you got a "hosted" bar party...
I checked out Tomahawk and the Melvins and that was decent, would have been better if I could've heard the freakin vocals.
Giant Robot Magazine opened a new store and art gallery... GR2... right by their first store.. go figure... pretty cool.
I hucked my ass down to Torrance and slurped down some "Mama Ramen"... so damn good... hey now... get your mind out of the gutter... checked out the Mitsuwa bookstore... I found three monthly magazines just for sneakers... crazy!
Checked out this short flick Taco Bender at the Harmony Gold Theater... bout this lucha libre demon that escapes from his taco making prison and heads straight for the cerveza and the senoritas... mighty dope.... watch for it on the circuits... directed by Richard Sears.
E3 is coming up in a week... thats the "Electronic Entertainment Expo" where they've got new vid games, booth babes, industry types, and coma inducing parties. Where's my tix kids? Get your E3 coverage on cable channel G4.
Im truly enjoying my pirated music this month.
Gots me the new Marilyn Manson... The Golden age of Grotesque... and the lack of drugs doesn't help his ass any... but the addition of the dude from KMFDM totally does... the lyrics are way too simple... maybe he burnt out somewhere... or maybe I've moved on... not sure. Maybe Marilyn Manson was always just simple?
Heard it playing the other day in the Urban Outfitters too.
Free music is so nice... awww so sweet... and you want me to pay for shit?... Not no more bitches... plus now I can get tracks from my fave groups months in advance.
I mean, back in the day would you have waited two months to hear the newest Elvis tracks... or would you have even waited to pay for it... c'mon.
No... not when all you can freaking download is mainstream crap... and you can go freaking download that same shit for freakin free over at one of the freakin P2P download things.
And why Apple? Why not one for each of the big three record labels... what kind of stick did Apple shove up these guys asses to get them to sign a deal like this... must've been gold-plated and covered with language about Napster and stopping the pirating of music... like Apple's ever been good about stopping the pirating of software... wise up... grow up... we've created a new way of doing things... make it free or go away...
I'm rambling... but you get the drift... I can deal with my viruses... worms... spyware... keystroke capturers... hard drive wipes... telephone re-routers... email bouncers... and all the other fun stuff that comes with connecting and sharing Person-To-Person... can't you?
